A strong foundation in dance and self-confidence are valuable tools for this important age. The skills learned in dance class often carry into other activities such as sports, cheer, music, theater, and even academics! Helping students grow with poise and passion both inside and outside the studio is always our goal. Our program is designed to give 4th and 5th graders focused training in a fun, encouraging environment where they can refine their technique and find their unique artistic voice. Styles offered include Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop.

4th-5th Grade Ballet
Our ballet classes are the cornerstone of a strong dance education. In this program, students transition from foundational steps to more complex combinations, learning how correct technique creates powerful and expressive dancers.
We build skill and artistry by focusing on:
- Proper Alignment and Posture at the barre and in center floor work.
- Mastery of core ballet terminology and positions.
- Developing control in slow, sustained movements (Adagio).
- Building speed and precision in jumps and traveling steps (Allegro).
- Personalized corrections to help each dancer understand their body and improve safely.
4th-5th Grade Ballet is currently offered on Tuesdays at 6:00pm for Season 13.
4th-5th Grade Jazz
Our 4th-5th grade jazz classes offer an athletic and high-energy experience. Dancers learn to apply their ballet foundation to a faster, more contemporary style, developing versatility and performance quality.
Training in our jazz dance program includes:
- Building a technical vocabulary of turns, leaps, and floor work.
- Mastering body isolations to develop control and rhythm.
- Learning to pick up and execute fun, upbeat choreography.
- Exploring different styles of movement and creative expression.
- Improving flexibility and stamina through dynamic warm-ups and conditioning.
4th-5th Grade Jazz is currently offered on Mondays at 6:00pm for Season 13.
4th-5th Grade Lyrical
Our lyrical dance classes blend ballet and jazz with expressive movement. Develops control, musicality, and storytelling.
4th-5th Grade Lyrical is currently offered on Tuesdays at 7:15pm for Season 13.
4th-5th Grade Hip Hop
An energetic class exploring a variety of hip hop styles. Builds musicality, coordination, and personal style.
4th-5th Grade Hip Hop is currently offered on Thursdays at 7:15pm for Season 13.

Absolutely! Our 4th–5th grade dance program is designed to accommodate students with varying levels of experience. Our instructors are skilled at placing new dancers in the appropriate class where they can learn the fundamentals and build a strong foundation with confidence.
No, it is not required. However, ballet technique is the foundation for both Lyrical and Jazz. It builds on the same strength, body awareness, and vocabulary, so taking ballet in addition to Lyrical and Jazz will only help strengthen your dancer’s technique.
Yes, all students are invited to perform in our Winter Showcase and Annual Spring Review. Performing is an invaluable part of a dance education, teaching stage presence and allowing students to showcase their hard work for family and friends.
We encourage prospective students to take a trial placement class. This allows our instructors to assess their skill level for proper placement and gives your child a chance to experience our studio environment firsthand. Please contact us to schedule one.
